Cathedral Choir Pilgrimage: The Holy Places of Italy

In November, 2009, the Choir at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament will be leading a pilgrimage to the Holy Places of Italy. (There is, additionally, an optional stopover in Paris, France). Keep an eye on this site for more details about events, concerts, and fund-raisers for this exciting tour. And watch next fall for a CD of sacred chants sung by the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament choir. Stay tuned.

This pilgrimage features holy places and special Papal events not found in typical tours.

 

Highlights include:

 

n  The Vatican and all its museums

n  The Sistine Chapel

n  St. Peter’s Square

n  Attending a Papal Blessing

n  Basilica Tour, visit to the Appian Way and the Catacombs

n  The Tomb of Pope John Paul II

n  Florence (Including Michelangelo’s “David”)

n  Umbrian and Tuscan Hills

n  Assisi (with Choir singing at the Basilica of St. Francis)

n  Pompeii

n  The Amalfi Coast (with a visit to the Mother House of the Benedictine Order)

 

 

Pricing: We will not know exact pricing until we are closer to departure date, but the estimate for the all-inclusive trip is about $3,600.
